RULE 16 - MOTIONS RECEIVED DURING DEBATE

When a question is under debate, the presiding officer shall receive no motion except the following:

(1)

to adjourn;

(2)

to take a recess;

(3)

to leave to withdraw a motion;

(4)

to lay upon the table;

(5)

for the previous question;

(6)

to postpone to a definite time;

(7)

to commit or refer to recommit;

(8)

to place on file;

(9)

to postpone indefinitely;

(10)

to amend.

These motions shall take precedence in the order in which they are arranged.
